Freelance Writing and Creativity

I haven't posted in the last few days because I've been working on a freelance writing project. I've spent about 50 hours researching web hosting and keyword research for a client. Then I've written hundreds of tips about how to find the best web hosting, free web hosting, and hosting for small businesses. I've written more about ASP, PHP, FrontPage, website security and hosting platforms to last me a lifetime! Except that things change so quickly with the computer and Internet industry, I'm sure what I know will be obsolete soon. With my Internet and computer background (I've been a consultant for over 15 years, run several businesses, in the process of running 2 new businesses, and still keeping sane), I'm trying to move into a more fulfilling aspect of life -- the creative process!

I believe each of us has within us the desire and drive to create. When we are not creating, we feel something is missing. Some will create art, some music, some will create children or a nice home environment, others will create adventure, some will garden, whatever it is -- I think we all need to be creative in some way or another. Therefore, I am taking my consulting expertise and transforming it into something which not only allows me to use my knowledge, but also create in the process. That is one of the reasons I've built this mind-body-spirit site -- as a way to take my love of peace, learning, personal growth, health, and knowledge and try to spend a few minutes each day thinking and writing about those aspects of life. Sometimes I'll bring in my business expertise, but only in relation to how that information has influenced my personal development.
