An Ideal Marriage

A good friend of mine told me a story about a therapist who is divorced and remarried. He said, "The first time I married, I married for love (and looks). It didn't last. The second time I made a conscious decision to marry my best friend. I've never been happier."

I believe if two people are willing to work together, compromise, have open communication and are trying to follow the commandments, they can have a good marriage. I also believe if you marry your best friend -- someone who has similar goals, someone you can laugh with and cry with, someone you can really be yourself with -- you can have more than just a good marriage -- you can have a great marriage.
